i applied for this job at the gubmint, and anyone who has worked for or applied to the gubmint for employment knows that it’s a ridiculous process of form after form and layer after layer (just like an onion). well, having completed my first hurdle jump of submitting all the properly formatted curriculum vitae through the website (thus draining any creativity out of my résumé, which i find hilarious when one applies for a job that essentially requires creativity) i have received an e-mail (please do not respond to this e-mail) saying i meet qualifications and my information will now (now, nearly one month after submitting it) be passed on to the appropriate hiring person.
god bless bureaucracy.
